TRAVELLING TO SAO TOME AND PRINCIPE - TOURIST VISA

According to the law, citizens of all countries require a visa to visit São Tomé and Príncipe. However, some  visitors to the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe do not need a visa to enter and stay for up to a maximum of 15 days. This includes US & Canada nationals, UE nationals, as well as nationals of the countries listed below.

Europe: Austria, Andorra, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France,                          Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco,                  Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland,                  Turkey, United Kingdom and Vatican.

Africa: Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Gabon, Rwanda and Morocco.

Asia and Middle East: East Timor, Japan, Kuwait, Russia, South Korea, Qatar and  United Arab Emirates.

North and South America: Canada, United States of America, Brazil and St. Kitts & Nevis.

If you are not a citizen of the countries listed above, then you must apply for a visa that can be obtained upon entry into Sao Tome and Principe.

The process will take around 7 working days. You’ll be issued an Entry Permit that will be sent to you by email.

The So Tome and Principe Migration Authority’s entry permit is an official document that will allow you travel and then get your visa (stamp) upon arrival Sao Tome airport.
